VIP visit to Vaisala: China’s Deputy Prime Minister Wang Yang
China’s Deputy Prime Minister Wang Yang visited Vaisala during his two-day visit to Finland. During the brief visit to the Helsinki office, Deputy Prime Minister Wang was very interested in learning about Vaisala’s portfolio ranging from products to information services. He was especially impressed by our R&D annual investment rate, 12 % as well as our innovations over the years.
The China
Meteorological Administration, CMA, is one of the administrative branches of
Deputy Prime Minister Wang. In his thank you and closing remarks, Deputy Prime
Minister Wang said that he would like to see CMA work even more closely with
Vaisala in the future.
Mr. Wang and his delegation were hosted by Kjell Forsén, Kai
Konola and Vesa Pylvänäinen. The visit took place on
November 19.
Mr. Wang Yang is one of the four Deputy Prime Ministers of China and is
responsible for the country’s financial affairs including trade, investments,
environmental technology, and food exports. He is one of the most influential
politicians in China. During his visit to Finland, Deputy Prime Minister and
his large trade delegation also attended the
start-up event Slush and met with Finland’s key ministers.
